OnePlus 5 features leaked: Dual-edge curved display with glass body and 23MP camera

New details coming from a Korean website have now shed some light on OnePlus upcoming flagship. Chinese handset-maker OnePlus may skip the 'OnePlus 4' name and release a new 'OnePlus 5'. Our best guess regarding this move is because the Chinese consider the number '4' to be unlucky.
Leaked specifications indicate that the new OnePlus 5 will come with a dual-edged display similar to Samsung's Galaxy S7 edge. As per a report on Koreanportal, the smartphone will also have a 23-megapixel camera along with 6GB and 8GB RAM variant options. OnePlus is expected to offer storage variants as well - 64 and 128GB along with expandable storage upto 256GB.
The report also claims that the OnePlus 5 will come in a ceramic body like the Xiaomi Mi Mix which is in line with earlier reports that the company is planning to replace the aluminum body of the phone with a ceramic one.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to draw power from a 4,000mAh battery with Dash Charge fast charging support. It will come with a Type-C USB port and with wireless charging. Since it is highly likely that Samsung's this year's flagship device, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, one could also expect that OnePlus might use a Snapdragon 830 chipset instead, as Samsung is said to have hoarded the initial production of the 835 SoC.
OnePlus 5 is said to be running on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box, and OnePlus OxygenOS UI on top of it.
As per rumors, OnePlus 5 is likely to be announced at the end of Q2 2017. The OnePlus 5 is expected to compete with the upcoming  Galaxy S8, the just launched LG G6 and the Huawei P10 both of which were just announced on day one of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.
